There have been many changes over the years to Ikon, but since our opening in 1989 we have strived to become one of the best independant menswear stores in the south. At our core we value quality be that in the collections that we choose for you or in the way we present them to you.

We started our journey in a unit within the Tunsgate centre, which was our home for 25 years, but then relocated to Tunsgate Road where you will find us now.

Our collections of Brands has been an ever changing selection from the best products that we can source from around the globe. We have mainly stuck to the powerhouses of fashion in mainland Europe but have expanded this to include Brands that hail from the United States and Australia. In recent years we have also tried to represent more Brands from our own shores. If you click on our “Brands” tab you can explore the history of our selected partners.

Our aim over the years is to provide the best service to our local community and also to those from further afield. We are very lucky to have nurtured a very loyal base of customers, but we love to see new faces who may in time become part of our family.

From our inception the product ranges we have put together have reflected the needs of our customers. We started with both casual and formal wear, but with a slant towards suits. But now with the ever changing world we live in our collections concentrate predominantly on smart casual wear. This might mean something for a casual office or garments aimed at the business traveller. Of course we also have going out covered with fantastic shirts, shoes, jeans and jackets. If you still want to dress to impress we have a formidable selection of suits that are perfect for work, weddings or even the races!
